Edhi born in 1928 in Junagadh, Gujrat went on to build the largest voluntary Ambulance fleet in the world. His early experience of caring for his infirm mother transformed his outlook on life. He dedicated his youth to looking after his mother, this deprived him of a formal education but he went on to become one of the greatest humanitarians in recent times. The charity organisation he founded is based in Karachi, Pakistan.
